Job Description
THE POSITION
Perform accounting functions in a manufacturing environment
Complete physical inventory and cycle counts, preparation of journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations
Issue monthly reports, maintain system files and necessary asset detail/supporting data, record and reconcile fixed assets to general ledger, perform reconciliations and audits of fixed assets including asset inventories to ensure accurate reporting of fixed assets
Lead and participate in physical inventory and cycle counts
Prepare and post monthly and quarterly journal entries
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and statement line analysis consistent with GAAP and within allowable time frame resolving open items timely
Reconcile plant fixed assets to general ledger
Perform reconciliations and audits of fixed assets, including physical inventories in cooperation with central departments
Support external and internal audits
Ensure timely disposal - electronical disposal request - of fixed assets (includes molds)
Ensure accurate reporting of fixed assets in SAP Tempo and SAP FIRE (Financial Reporting) and reconciliation between both systems
Issue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls
Take over additional tasks within the Accounting Team
Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls
Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
Support the Continental Business System (CBS) structure by participating in the applicable CBT meeting, reviewing and managing his/her/team performance, conducting simple problem-solving using action sheets, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, participating in the CBT reviews, and taking ownership for presented parts of the team boards
Perform other duties as directed by Accounting Manager or Head of Controlling & Accounting
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or related experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree
2 or more years’ experience in Accounting or Finance related field
Legal authorization to work in the U.
S.
is required.
